Jasaun Hall, 28
Jasaun Hall, a 28-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, July 29, in the 1000 block of West 43rd Street in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 12:40 a.m., Hall was standing outside a home with a group of people socializing when three males wearing hoodies walked up and at least two began shooting, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.
Hall and two others, including a 27-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were injured, Garrido said.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:54 a.m., according to coroner’s records. The other two are expected to survive.
The gunmen ran to two separate vehicles — a white sedan and a dark-colored sedan — which fled the scene, police said.
Police are trying to determine a motive, but believe the shooting is related to gang rivalries in the area.
