Elijah Brown, 26

Elijah Brown, a 26-year-old black man, died Sunday, Nov. 6, after being fatally shot in the 2300 block of East Spaulding Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 9:55 p.m., Long Beach police received a call about a shooting victim in the area, according to a news release. Upon arriving, officers found Brown suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Detectives are investigating the death and pursuing all leads, according to a police spokeswoman.
