Francisco Fuentes, 27

Francisco Fuentes, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, June 21, in the 7900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Van Nuys, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 3 p.m., officers responded to a shooting and found Fuentes on the ground next to a bicycle in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant, according to a news release from the department.

Fuentes, who had been shot, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:39 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Investigators believe Fuentes was riding his bike when he was shot. Police are looking for witnesses.
