Sergio Diaz Acosta, a 25-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed on Monday, Oct. 3, near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Pacific Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 2:40 a.m., Long Beach police were called to assist fire officials with a man lying in the street, according to a news release.
Officers found Acosta with multiple stab wounds to the chest. He was later taken to a hospital where he died at 3;05 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police do not yet have a motive and are pursuing all leads.
