Wylee Louis Pritchett, a 20-year-old white man, was shot and killed Thursday, June 9, in the 6400 block of Coronado Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 4 a.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a shots fired call and found Pritchett and another man with gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the department.
Pritchett was pronounced dead by Long Beach firefighters a short time later, and the other man was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police did not offer information about a motive in the slaying, but investigators do not believe the shooting was gang-related.
Coroner’s records show that Pritchett was standing in the street with some friends when a vehicle pulled up and a passenger opened fire.
