Maria Angie Ontiveros, a 47-year-old Latina, was fatally stabbed Wednesday, Jan. 28, near Osbourne Street and San Fernando Road in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 7:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a body across the street from the Foothill Division police station.
Ontiveros was found stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, police said.
Paramedics pronounced Ontiveros dead at 7:25 p.m. at the scene.
The next day, police arrested Armando Bichara, a 24-year-old Latino, on suspicion of murder. The Times has contacted the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office for confirmation of any charges filed against Bichara and will update this post as soon as information becomes available.
