Adrian Arturo Gonzalez, 20

Adrian Gonzalez, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, Dec. 22, in the 2400 block of Angela Street in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officials responded to calls reporting gunshots about 10:17 p.m. Gonzalez was found lying in the entryway to an apartment complex and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to coroner’s records, Gonzalez died from gunshot wounds to his head and upper torso.

Investigators said Gonzalez was confronted by three suspects, described as Latinos 18 to 25 years of age.

Gonzalez was a documented gang-member, and officials believe the shooting was gang-related, said Pomona police Sgt. D. Leonard.

“I don’t think it was a random shooting,” he said. “It appears that he was the specific target.”
