Albert Daniel Herrera, 36

Albert Daniel Herrera, a 36-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Wednesday, June 24, in the 1700 block of East Mission Boulevard in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

The Pomona Police Department received a call at 10:29 p.m. about a man who had been stabbed, according to a news release from the department. 

When officers arrived, they found Herrera, a Pomona resident, with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:51 p.m., according to coroner’s records.  

Just two minutes before the call about Herrera, the Police Department received another call about a stabbing victim in the 700 block of East Mission Boulevard in Pomona. The victim, a 33-year-old Latino from Pomona, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators don’t know if the two cases are related, according to the release.
