Alfonso Garcia Cruz, 28

Alfonso Garcia Cruz, described by the coroner's office as a 28-year-old white man, was shot and killed Wednesday, May 26, in the 1200 block of North Saint Andrews Place in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 2:30 a.m. and found Cruz in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to an LAPD news release.

Cruz was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died just before 4 a.m., police said.

Detectives said a black four-door 1990s Toyota Camry was seen traveling south from Saint Andrews Place and La Mirada Avenue.

Investigators do not have a description of the suspect or suspects and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
