Amador Cendejas-Cortes, 59

Amador Cendejas-Cortes, a 59-year-old Latino, died after he was shot in the head and killed, Wednesday, April 29 in the 10800 block of Inglewood Avenue in Lennox, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Cendejas-Cortes died when a man opened fire at a crowd standing at a taco stand. Five others were wounded, authorities said. The next day, three people were arrested in connection with the shooting.

The incident began when a vehicle carrying the three suspects stopped in front of the taco stand and one man emerged and began firing a rifle, said L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Keith Ho. Ho said the injured were a 12-year-old boy, another minor boy, two men and a woman. They were taken to local hospitals.

[Update: An earlier version of this post gave the location of the shooting as Inglewood. It took place in the unincorporated community of Lennox which is bordered by Inglewood on the north and east.]
