Anthony Flowal, 55

Anthony Flowal, a 55-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Saturday, Aug. 4, in the 300 block of East 56th Street in South Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

[Editor's note: An earlier version of this post, based on information from the coroner's office, identified the victim as Anthony Slowal. The Times became aware of the misspelling after the decedent's son contacted the Homicide Report to make the correction.]

Los Angeles police officers responded to a residence about 12:45 a.m., Lt. Rick Stabile said.

According to Stabile, Flowal was found near the doorway of the house and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are searching for two male suspects.

No other information is available at this time.
