Bernard Luis Cordova, 53

Bernard Luis Cordova, a 53-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, May 19, in the 300 block of East 93rd Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

At 4:30 a.m., Cordova was walking north on Towne Avenue when a vehicle drove up and a person shot at him from the passenger side, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri. 

Police arrived to find Cordova in the street, according to coroner’s records, which also said that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was described only as a light-colored sedan, police said.

Police are trying to determine a motive in the shooting.
