Calletano Ramirez, 34

Calletano Ramirez, a 34-year-old Latino, was fatally wounded Wednesday, July 3, in the 700 block of East 33rd Street in Historic South-Central, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Ramirez double parked shortly before 7:30 p.m., then got out of his car for a quick chat with people who lived on the street, said LAPD Det. Kelle Baitx with the Newton Division in an e-mail.

As Ramirez got back into his car, a black vehicle pulled up and a gunman shot him several times. He was taken to a hospital where he died at 8:05 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
