Christian Desean Gibson Sr., 22

Christian Gibson Sr., a 22-year-old black man, died Monday, June 6, a day after he was shot in the 800 block of Lennon Street in west Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Gibson was shot during an altercation on June 5 about 10:10 p.m.

After the shooting, Gibson was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, Winter said. He succumbed to his injuries the next day at 5:05 p.m.

Coroner's records show Gibson died from a gunshot wound to the head.
