Christopher Cristian Islas, 21

Christopher Cristian Islas, a 21-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, Nov. 13, in the 300 block of West 87th Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 11:35 p.m., Islas was at a party at a barbershop when he got into a dispute, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

Islas left the party and was walking south on South Broadway with a group of people when a gunman chased the group, firing at Islas. Islas was stuck and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police said the gunman escaped on foot.
