Conviction: Two counts first degree murder, two counts attempted murder

A jury on Thursday convicted Zelos Fields, a 20-year-old black man, on two counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder, according to Los Angeles County district attorney officials.

Fields had been arrested by the LAPD on Nov. 11, 2009, according to county jail records.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on March 18 in downtown Los Angeles.

The Homicide Report is scheduled to speak to the prosecutor next week and will have more details about the case then.
