Corey Williams-Cummings, 22

Corey Williams-Cummings, a 22-year-old black man, was fatally shot Wednesday, March 14, in the 700 block of North Garey Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Pomona police Lt. Mike Keltner said authorities were called at 7:48 p.m. when shots were reportedly fired. Officers arrived at 733 N. Garey Ave. to find Williams-Cummings dead.

Coroner’s records show the victim suffered several gunshot wounds to the head and back.

Keltner said that although the location of the shooting is a residence, it is also a combination commercial area.

No one is in custody in connection with the attack, authorities said.
