Craig Lee Brown, 22

Craig Brown, a 22-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, April 2, in the 1200 block of West 109th Street in Westmont, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Brown was standing on the street with a group of people when a car drove by and the occupant fired a gun.

Brown was struck in the torso. Authorities were called and the victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:38 p.m.

Winter had no other information about the case.
