Daniel Rojas, 28

Daniel Rojas, a 28-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed Saturday, Oct. 17, in the 37600 block of Scomar Street in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 7:45 p.m., Rojas was walking into a home to attend a family party when he got into an argument with his brother-in-law, said Lt. Dave Coleman with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The fight escalated, and the other man pulled out a knife and stabbed Rojas, Coleman said.

Rojas stumbled into the home, then collapsed on the living room floor. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Coleman said the argument was over a family dispute.

The assailant, identified as Angel Garcia, a 29-year-old Latino, stayed at the party and was arrested on suspicion of murder the same evening.

Garcia was charged with murder Oct. 20., according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
