Darrell Don Woo, 55

Darrell Don Woo, a 55-year-old Asian man, was shot and killed Thursday, April 20, in the 1500 block of West Carson Street in Torrance, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Woo was waiting at a bus stop when he was shot at 6:40 p.m. and collapsed on the sidewalk, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department. Another person, a Latino, was wounded.

Wood collapsed on the sidewalk, police said. He and the other man were taken to a hospital, where Wood was pronounced dead at 7:05 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The other man is expected to survive.

Police are working to compile a description of the suspect.
