Darrin Kirk, 45

Darrin Kirk, a 45-year-old black man, died Saturday, July 7, eight days after he was shot in the 8800 block of South Halldale Avenue in Gramercy Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Kirk was shot during a drive-by on June 19, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

The victim was taken to California Hospital Medical Center for treatment, but ultimately died on July 7. According to coroner's records, Kirk died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Winter had no other details about the case.
