Delbert Moore, 20 [Updated]

Delbert Moore, a 20-year-old black man, was fatally shot Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the 6800 block of Hannon Street in Bell Gardens, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Moore was shot several times at 5:03 p.m., said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office. After the shooting, he was taken to a hospital, where he died 35 minutes later.

The coroner's office had no additional information about the case.

The Times has contacted investigators for more details and will include an update as soon as possible.

[Update Dec. 10: Sheriff homicide Lt. Dave Dolson said Moore was sitting in a parked car when an unknown person approached the vehicle and shot him.

Currently, detectives do not have a description of the shooter, although the case is being investigated as possibly gang-related, he said.
