A story for every victim

Diego Davian, 24

Diego Davian, a 24-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Oct. 26, near Park View Street and Wilshire Boulevard in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a 911 call about 7:00 p.m. at MacArthur Park. When authorities arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the shooting appears to be gang-related and involved two Latinos. Davian, however, was not a documented gang member.

No arrests have been made. The park was full of people at the time of the shooting, and the police have the incident on MacArthur Park video, said LAPD Rampart Det. J. Motto, but no one has come forward to say what happened.

Anyone with details about the shooting is asked to contact the LAPD's Rampart Division at (213) 484-3642. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
