Emmanuel Arce, 30

Emmanuel Arce, a 30-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Sept. 27, in the 2500 block of South Vermont Avenue in Adams-Normandie, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5 a.m., Arce and a friend were in the drive-thru at Jack In The Box waiting for their order behind a light-colored sedan when Arce grew impatient, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

Arce got out of his car and walked up to the drive-thru window, and the front passenger of the light-colored sedan got out of his car and shot Arce. The sedan then fled the scene.

Arce was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:28 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
