Enrique Saucedo, 42

Enrique Saucedo, a 42-year-old Latino, died Saturday, April 14, after he was shot in the 1000 block of Dundas Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13, Saucedo was sitting in front of an apartment complex when a light-colored sedan drove up, Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez said.

A person got out of the vehicle and began shooting, striking Saucedo, police said. It’s unknown whether the shooter got out of the passenger or driver’s side of the car.

Saucedo was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police are trying to determine why Saucedo was shot.
