Ernesto Eduardo Aguilar, 18

Ernesto Aguilar, an 18-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Nov. 28, in the 7700 block of Otis Avenue in Cudahy, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Deputies responded to a call reporting a "gunshot victim down" about 3:20 p.m. according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release.

When authorities arrived, they found Aguilar and another man, Alex Lombardi, an 18-year-old Latino, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead, officials said.

Witnesses to the shooting described the assailant as a male, possibly Latino, wearing a hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen fleeing on foot west on Olive Street. Bystanders also saw a gray or silver colored sedan heading west on Olive Street.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related.
