Fabian Garcia, a 24-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, Jan. 29, near South Grand Avenue and West 62nd Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 7 p.m., Garcia was riding a bike north on South Grand Avenue when a small gray car pulled up and a person got out and began shooting, LAPD Det. Rich Arciniega said.

Garcia was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:09 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
