Gabriel Medina Mora, 44

Gabriel Medina Mora, a 44-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, Feb. 9, in the 2000 block of Bay Street downtown, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Mora was inside a light-colored Dodge Charger about 5:30 p.m. when he got into an argument with a person who occasionally worked for him at a produce business, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dan Gersna.

The other man, who was not inside the car, pulled out a gun and shot Mora, Gersna said. Police declined to say where the gunman was standing when he shot Mora.

Coroner’s records show that Mora crashed his vehicle after being shot and was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. at the scene.

The gunman fled and has not yet been found.
