Guillermo Reyes, 20

Guillermo Reyes, a 20-year-old Latino, died Tuesday, June 26, soon after he was shot near Center Street and Fountain Court in Baldwin Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Reyes and another person were driving June 25 when a car pulled up alongside them and the occupant began shooting, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.

Reyes, who was driving, was shot during the incident. His passenger took control of the vehicle and drove the victim to the hospital for treatment.

Reyes died the next day. Coroner's records show he died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The 21-year-old passenger did not suffer any injuries, officials said.

A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
