Jamal Michael Terry, 25

Jamal Michael Terry, a 25-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Nov. 2, near West 147th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard in Alondra Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Terry was standing on the sidewalk about 9:14 p.m. when an unknown person walked up and shot him.

After being struck, Terry ran a short distance before he collapsed on the ground.

Authorities were called, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the slaying is asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
