James Herbert Brown III, 36
James Herbert Brown III, a 36-year-old black man, was fatally wounded Sunday, July 14, in the 300 block of East 115th Street in Green Meadows, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Brown had parked his car shortly before 8:30 p.m., and as he got out, a caravan of vehicles drove by, said Det. Supervisor Chris Barling with the LAPD’s 77th Street Division. A person inside a white compact car shot at Brown, striking him and three others, Barling said.
Brown died in the vehicle at 8:35 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The three others survived.
