Jequan Jashean George Foley, 26

Jequan Jashean George Foley, a 26-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday April 9 in the 900 block of West 76th Street in Vermont Knolls, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 4 a.m., Foley was driving a silver sedan west on West 77th Street near South Flower Street, LAPD Det. Dave Garrido said. A person following in a dark-colored sedan pulled up to Foley’s car and opened fire. A passenger in Foley’s car was struck in the leg.

Foley was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:01 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
