A story for every victim

Joel Fraticelli, 27

Joel Fraticelli, a 27-year-old white man, was fatally stabbed Wednesday, April 22, in the 1700 block of North Cherokee Avenue in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 8:30 a.m., police responded to a parking lot and found Fraticelli, who had been stabbed after a dispute.

Police said that Fraticelli was standing next to a vehicle when he was stabbed.  Fraticelli was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:46 a.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.

The attacker was believed to have fled in Fraticelli’s truck, a dark brown 2005 Ford F-150 with North Carolina license plates.

Police later found that the assailant abandoned the truck a few blocks away. On April 23, the FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested Raymond Earl Jackson, a 29-year-old black man, on suspicion of murder. Jackson was charged with one count of murder on Monday, according to the district attorney's office.

Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD’s West Bureau at (213) 382-9470. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
