John Bowles, 50 [Updated]

John Bowles, a 50-year-old white man, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, three days after sustaining trauma in the 5600 block of East Avenue R in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Bowles was taken to the hospital after falling from a car Aug. 6 about 3:52 p.m.

Bowles, of Northridge, remained at the medical center until he died three days later. He was pronounced dead at 10 a.m., Winter said.

Coroner’s records show Bowles may have been pushed out of the vehicle and suffered head trauma.

Winter said a cause of death has been deferred pending additional lab tests. Results will not be available for at least six to eight weeks, he said.
