John Doe #210, a black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Aug. 22 near West 8th Street and St. Andrews Place in Koreatown, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Police said that the man, who has not yet been officially identified, was involved in a money dispute in the street near an apartment building in the area. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The gunman is at large, said LAPD Det. Dave Vinton. He said the victim could be from Jamaica, but family members have not yet come forward.
