Joseph N. Jordan, 16

Joseph N. Jordan, a 16-year-old black teenager, was fatally shot on Saturday, June 15, in the 11100 block of South Vermont Avenue in Westmont in South Los Angeles, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Shortly after 3 p.m., Jordan was shot during an altercation, according to coroner’s records. Deputies arrived to find Jordan on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, according to an L.A. County  Sheriff’s Department release.

He was taken to a hospital where he died at 3:34 p.m. Anyone with information about the incident can call the sheriff’s homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.  Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
