Jose Carrillo, 18

Jose Carrillo, 18, a Latino youth, was shot in the chest at 14723 Stockdale St. in Baldwin Park at about 10:53 p.m. Friday, July 20, and died at 11:45 p.m.

He was attending a house party with a D.J. and at least 100 guests. There were mixed reports on whether it was a flyer party, but some people were paying at the door to get in, investigators said.

In the backyard, a gang fistfight broke out. Some of the people with whom Carrillo had come to the party were involved. There was gunfire. He was struck, along with two other Latino youths who survived.Carrillo was a high school student.
