Jose Diego, 19
Jose Diego, a 19-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Tuesday, July 10, in the 2600 block of North Main Street in Lincoln Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Officers responded to a call for service for a possible drug overdose about 11:30 a.m., according to an LAPD news release.
When police arrive, they discovered Diego with a gunshot wound to his torso. Paramedics were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they have few leads in the case and are asking the public's assistance in obtaining details about the killing.
