Jose Sanchez, a 16-year-old Latino, died Tuesday, May 11, a day after he was shot in the 5800 block of Gage Avenue in Bell Gardens, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Authorities found Sanchez about 5:40 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Lillian Peck.

Sanchez, who had been shot in the head, was taken to a hospital in Lynwood, where he died the next morning at 7:10 a.m., according to coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Sanchez was involved in an altercation before he was shot.

Investigators have determined the shooting was gang-related.

Sorry but we man is put on this earth to judge man. We vote in laws that meant to protect us, we vote for representatives who will pass laws that are meant to protect us the judgement you write of is up to us to judge. Which by the way did you know that his baby was and is being raised via my fed tax dollars? That means that from the day his children that he could not take care of are a burden to the government and its tax payers. Do you know that there is so much more to being a dad/father than just being able to hit the hole? Because he did very little to raise those children. He did very little to make sure that the world he brought children into was a good one. But above all that he contributed to his children being raised by the government...me I am glad that food stams were cut more cuts need to be made to these handouts. At one point the handouts were supposed to be a hand up but some where along the way people thought that it was their right. So when asked what seperates haves from the have nots, its in the how much do you take!

Jose was a young man that had a heart. Know on this earth is able to judge anyone but God. He loved his boys to earth. Age is just a number and no mother/father receives a book of instructions when they are born. Unfortunately there was a idiot that not only took his life but ruined a family's heart forever. I feed Jose when he would go to my house and LOL he ate like there was no tomorrow:) That afternoon it was mothers day in Mexico, I heard some gun shots so close and I put my head down and prayed and had a feeling someone got hurt that next morning I found out it was Jose and tears streamed down my face! All I thought about is that he had just been at my house a few days before that. I believe it is hard on a mother to bury her own children. So other people that judge and assume live life to the fullest because you never know. We all live in a world were it is unpredictable of what can happen today or tomorrow and may God inter you little rebellious heart for those that judge and criticize. Jose every 10th of May I light a candle in your name. You were a good friend to my son and he has never forgotten you as well. we love you. Retro, Joser, Jose

yess I understand but no matter what GOD forgives if they regret what they did GOD has mercy u know... And I'm saying this for a reason... Because I know they are repentant I know it ...

And don't you think they are already paying for it being in jail not seeing they're family,regretting what they did, hopeless, and lonelyy! .....

But yet they are thankful that GOD has given them one more chance to live and be a better person unlike "retro" who is now in a better place.. For every one of us GOD has a purpose in our lives ....

I mean what if those guys change completely because of GOD what if they get out and save other teens who are doing the sAme things they once did u don't know what is GOD's purpose...nobody knowwwss..
