A story for every victim

Joshua Ketchum, 27

Joshua Ketchum, a 27-year-old white man, died on Saturday, Jan. 27, after he was stabbed in the 43000 block of Gadsden Avenue in Lancaster, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Ketchum was in his apartment when a black male tried to force his way into the apartment about 10 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Moore.

“What happened is very unclear,” Moore said, “We don’t know if it was an argument or physical altercation, but whatever happened it started inside and somehow ended up outside.”

Ketchum was stabbed in the mid-torso and taken to the hospital, Moore said. He was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The Antelope Valley Times quoted an unnamed news videographer at the scene, who said Ketchum was stabbed with a broken bottle in the apartment complex.

The suspect was last seen running from the complex on foot, Moore said,
