Juan Espinoza, 19

Juan Espinoza, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot several times on Friday, July 31,  at Friar Street and Vesper Avenue in Van Nuys. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Espinoza, of Van Nuys, was found shot in a parking lot about 10:30 p.m., according to the LAPD. Espinoza got into an argument with someone, which led to the shooting, police said.

The suspect was described by police as a Latino man in his late 20s or early 30s with black hair. Police said the suspect drove away in a small, late 1980s model four-door car, possibly a Honda Civic.
