Kenyond Tyrone Brown, 40

Kenyond Brown, a 40-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Jan. 21 in the 2500 block of Hyde Park Boulevard in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 1:14 p.m., Brown was riding his bike east on Hyde Park Boulevard, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido. A dark-colored sedan going in the same direction approached and either one person or more than one person inside began shooting, Garrido said.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner’s records show he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The sedan fled east and out of view. Police are looking for witnesses.
