Larry James Dillingham Jr., 29

Larry James Dillingham Jr., a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, Nov. 21, near Stanford Avenue and East 97th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly after noon, Dillingham was working on a car as a group of fewer than 10 people stood nearby. That's when a vehicle drove by and a person opened fire, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.

Dillingham was struck and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:50 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

It’s unclear whether Dillingham was the target, Kouri said.

The gunman's vehicle, described as a black sedan, was driven away south on Stanford Avenue, then east on East 98th Street.
