Lawrence Warshaw, 78 [Update]

Lawrence Warshaw, a 78-year-old white man, was found dead Sunday, May 20, in the 5900 block of East Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said one of Warshaw's sons went to his home and found the doors locked. Concerned, he broke in and discovered his father with a pillow over his face.

The son also found his 53-year-old brother on the kitchen floor dead.

Authorities were called and Warshaw was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:08 p.m.

Winter said the 53-year-old son had a history of psychological problems and the deaths are believed to be a murder-suicide.
