Lucien George Bergez, 89

Lucien Bergez, an 89-year-old white man, died Tuesday, May 3, near Washington Boulevard and Huron Avenue in Culver City, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Police were alerted after a person called 911, saying that he had found a body inside a residence, said Capt. Dave Tankenson.

Officers responded and discovered two bodies inside the home: Bergez and Erica Escobar, a 27-year-old white woman.

"We're considering it a crime scene," Tankenson told The Times. He declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.

Coroner records show Bergez and Escobar suffered blunt-force trauma and puncture wounds to their bodies.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Zackariah Timothy Lehnen, a 30-year-old white man, was arrested in connection with the killings.

The news site reported that Lehnen had been seen together with both Escobar and Bergez at a 7-Eleven, although the nature of their relationship was unclear.

Lehnen is  being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
