Luis Enrique Silva, 27

Luis Silva, a 27-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the 13900 block of Louvre Street in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a call regarding an "assault with a deadly weapon with shots fired" about 10:50 p.m., according to an LAPD news release.

When authorities arrived, they found Silva with several gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken by paramedics to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.

During the investigation, detectives learned Silva was returning home from a store when an unknown person shot him.

Officials said the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
