Luis Umberto Martinez, 26

Luis Umberto Martinez, a 26-year-old Latino, died Tuesday, April 11, after he was stabbed in the 1600 block of Del Amo Boulevard in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

At 4:50 p.m. April 10, Martinez was walking west on Del Amo Boulevard when a person approached and stabbed him once in the abdomen, Los Angeles Police Det. Julie Scruggs said.

Martinez was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m. April 11, according to coroner's records.

Scruggs said Martinez lived in the area. Detectives do not have a description of the assailant.
