Margarito Gutierrez, 32

Margarito Gutierrez, a 32-year-old Latino, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, less than two weeks after he was shot in the 6600 block of Etiwanda Avenue in Reseda, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Gutierrez died Wednesday afternoon at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

The victim was one of two people who were critically wounded Sept. 24 by alleged gunman Alberto Acosta, an 18-year-old Latino, as they sat in a parked car.

Acosta was later fatally shot during a confrontation with police.

An update on the condition of the second victim was not immediately available.
