Mcdonald Carey, 44

Mcdonald Carey, a 44-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Dec. 17, in the 1500 block of 81st Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Carey was shot and killed when gunmen began shooting outside a party about 7:20 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Lillian Peck said. Carey was among five people hit by gunfire from a large sport utility vehicle, Peck said.

The names of the other victims weren't released. The four survivors, two men and two women, were listed in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related, officials said.
