Micah Maurice Hatten, 16

Micah Maurice Hatten, a 16-year-old black teenager, died Thursday, May 29, after he was stabbed in the 13000 block of Roseton Avenue in Norwalk, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Hatten was hanging out with friends in the area about 3:30 p.m. May 28 when a mid-sized vehicle approached, said Lt. Holly Francisco with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A male got out of the car, stabbed Hatten and fled southbound on Gard Avenue, Francisco said.

Hatten was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead May 29 at 12:52 a.m., said Ed Winter, a coroner’s spokesman. An autopsy showed that Hatten died of a stab wound to the chest.
