A story for every victim

Natasha Katherine Cobian, 23

Natasha Cobian, a 23-year-old white woman, was shot and killed Thursday, April 8, in the 800 block of South Sierra Vista Avenue in Alhambra, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police officers received a call of a possible suicide at a home about 4:30 a.m. When officers arrived at the location, they found three bodies, Alhambra police Lt. Edith Lopez said.

Inside they discovered a 25-year-old man, later identified as Angel Berrios Jr., fatally shot along with Cobian and their 1-year-old son, Angel Joseph Berrios.

Alhambra police said that, based on the crime scene, they believe the deaths were the result of a double-murder suicide with the man shooting his son and Cobian, then taking his own life.

Lopez said several other family members were inside the four-bedroom house at the time of the shooting, but they were unharmed. They alerted authorities to the shooting.
